Welcome to the Stone Museum

Since reopening 1992, the Stone Museum offers slide lectures, naturalist-led hikes, and special events and provides natural history exhibits and trail maps for visitors and hikers.

Peoples State Forest was established in 1924 for the people of Connecticut. It is open to the public for picnicking, hiking, camping, fishing, hunting, snowmobiling and cross-country skiing.
